Real people, real homes: Occupied staging
Bevo: Charming city bungalow
This little bungalow in South City had tons of charm, It just needed some polish. The fantastic homeowner had already decluttered, painted walls a neutral color and deep cleaned. We brought in furnishings, artwork and accessories to complement pieces she already had. The resulting space felt lighter, brighter and ready for a new homeowner to move in. We're happy to report the house sold its third day on the market.
Maplewood: Storied former boarding house
This beguiling old home in Maplewood is rumored to have been a boarding house. It's brimming with character: Multiple fireplaces, including a woodburning one in the expansive foyer, original transoms over the bedroom doors (a vestige of its boarding-house past), and a sweeping staircase all the way up to the third floor. One of the challenges of this project was that the homeowner had large furniture pieces that couldn't be moved. So we worked around them! We changed layouts and added artwork & accessories to make the home feel more refined without losing it's historic charm.

Adding signs of life: Vacant staging
St. Louis City: Neglected to eclectic
This South City bungalow had been a rental, then vacant for a couple of years and it showed. Some questionable renovations followed by years of neglect had it looking a little sad and rough around the edges. Fresh paint in a neutral color, a few well-placed furniture pieces, and just enough accessories and artwork to give it warmth, and the little house took on a whole new vibe. Despite its location on an uber-busy thoroughfare, it sold in a few weeks.
